Keys and alarms

Who holds your key or code, and what happens to it.

The lead who cleans your space is the person who holds the key or code. This page is how we handle it.

  • Keys are tagged by number, never by address

  • Codes are given to the lead by phone, never in writing

  • The alarm is set before the lead leaves

Handling

From handover to return

  • The handover

You give the key or code once, to the lead, in person or by phone. We log the date and the person.

  • The key log

Each key has a number. The log shows who has it and when it was last used.

  • Lost or changed

If a key is lost or a code looks shared, we tell you the same day, and you decide whether to change it.

If the alarm trips

What the lead does, in order

  1. 01
    First

    Step 1: Stop and check

The lead gives your passcode to the alarm company if asked, and doesn't leave the room.

  2. 02
    Second

    Step 2: Call you

The lead calls you or your emergency contact.

  3. 03
    Third

Step 3: Wait for your answer

We stay until the alarm company or you tell us to go.

  4. 04
    After

    Step 4: Write it down

The lead texts you what happened and when, the same night.

About keys and alarms

Can I give you a key box code?

Yes. We note the box, not the address, and the lead gets the code by phone.

What if I change my alarm code?

Tell us, by phone, before the next night. We don't write codes in email or in this form.

Do you set my alarm every time?

Yes. The lead sets it before leaving, and the text says it was set.

Want the key policy in writing?

Ask at the walkthrough and we'll send it with your scope sheet.
